Poe as the Senate Public Services Committee chairwoman said she and even the current Department of Transportation (DoTr) officials, led by Secretary Arthur Tugade, were being stucked by this anomaly.

Poe said Tugade was made to believe by past public statements of previous Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) officials, led by then Secretary Emilio Aguinaldo Abaya, that the trains purchased from Dalian, China, would finally end the transport woes of hundreds of thousands of commuters once they are installed.

“Dapat talaga pagbayaran nila yan. Dapat magkaroon ng kaso,” Sen. Poe said while vowing to file a resolution when the Senate resumes its regular session starting Tuesday for a full-dressed probe into the anomaly.

However, the signaling system could not be installed because of the China made trains is not in order.

Poe said she would order the past transport officials to appear before her committee through the coercive powers of subpoenas if they refuse to appear when summoned.

“All will be invited,” Poe said, adding that her planned committee hearing would certainly cut short Abaya’s retirement from government service “because we need his explanation.”

The MRT issue started after the Aquino administration severed its maintenance contract with Japanese firm Sumitomo because of its alleged high fees.

Past administration officials then bid out the maintenance contracts to some firms whose technical problems were also questioned.

“Yan ang isa pang malaking kasalanan na kung sino man ang nag-apruba niyan ay dapat managot,” the senator said pertaining to Dalian train contract.

Bomb expert of Abu Sayaff Group Reneer “Renren” Dongon arrested in Bohol together with his lover High Rank Official of PNP

Bomb expert was arrested by government forces on April 22, 2017 (Saturday) in Clarin, Bohol turns out to be a leader of a terrorist group linked with the Islamic State and has been aided by a police officer.

An alleged bomb expert Reneer “Renren” Dongon, is one of the key officers of Khilafa Islamiyah Mindanao, an organization that has sworn allegiance to the Islamic State, intelligence sources reported. The nabbed terrorist leader is a known bombardment instructor and expert in making improvised explosives. He was held accountable for planting an IED in Maxandrea Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City on October 11, 2012.

Dongon is the brother-in-law of slain Abu Sayyaf leaders Khadaffy Janjalani, the late Jemaah Islamiyah leader Zulkifli bin Hir alias Marwan, and Ahmad Santos, a leader of the Rajah Solaiman Movement. One of the ASG leaders, Marwan, is the Malaysian bomb maker who was killed during the Mamasapano raid that ended up with 44 police commandoes dead.

Dongon’s expertise in bomb-making is attributed to his close ties with Marwan. The recently arrested terrorist stayed hidden in Basilan and Jolo, Sulu under Abu Sayyaf leader Isnilon Hapilon and other members of Jemaah Islamiya.

Dongon holds a police record of two arrests in the past, however, he was released after posting bail. Additionally, Dongon was found to have had an affair with one of the police officers.

PNP Chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa revealed that Supt. Maria Cristina Nobleza first encountered Dongon in 2013 when she was the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) officer who interrogated the terrorist leader.

“Yung nakakulong si Dongon noon, siya yung taga interview kasi naka-assign siya sa PAOCC (Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission) si Nobleza. Habang nakakulong si Dongon, they let the love begin. May asawa siya. Opisyal din ang asawa niya, police attache sa Pakistan,” Dela Rosa disclosed during a press conference.

Nobleza aided Dongon in rescuing his injured brother Saad when their group attacked Bohol.

“So far inamin na niya na tutulungan lang daw nila si alias Saad na wounded at mag-drop lang daw ng gamot, that’s according to her. Isang tao lang daw ang interesado silang i-rescue. Apparently buhay pa itong Saad na ito na Abu Sayyaf bandit din. Si Saad lang ang kilala nila sa grupo. hindi kasama sa latest na casualty,” Dela Rosa added.

Terrorism analyst Professor Rommel Banlaoi that the recent attacks of the Abu Sayyaf are to endanger the upcoming ASEAN summit in the Philippines.

“Plan talaga ng ASG sa Bohol. Ang plan nila is first, to identify subjects for kidnap for ransom. Second, to undermine the ASEAN meetings, related to the ASEAN summit and then nang hindi nila maisagawa, to mount terrorist activities during the Holy Week,” Banlaoi reported.

While the deaths of the terrorist group’s leaders, Abu Rami and Joselito Melloria, and the arrest of Dongon is a fatal blow to the Abu Sayyaf, Banaloi asserts that they still have expert bombers at hand.

“ASG sub leader Hatib Hajan Sawadjaan remain as a commander, siya ang titingnan natin, and also other emerging groups associated with Khilafa,” he said.
